Like best: Kotis Furniture Refinishing has repaired and refinished 2 cabinets and 1 buffet for me. These pieces are over 100 years old, were passed down in my family and had significant wear and damage from spending the last 20 years in basements and garages. Jim Kotis recently restored the wood cabinet that houses our family's 1942 Singer sewing machine. Like best: Mr. Kotis beautifully restored and refinished my 30's era vanity and mirror and is currently restoring the matching dresser. The vanity finish had darkened and cracked from age and improper storage and Mr. Kotis transformed it to its original condition. He also made several structural repairs to ensure the piece would be sound and have a long life. The quality of his work is outstanding. He is not just a refinisher; he is very knowledgeable about furniture styles and periods as well. If you let him work on your antique/vintage piece, he will do his research to get it just right. I could not be more pleased with the results.

Anything to add: Not everyone is willing to take on a grandfather clock kit. There is so much more to it than just assembling parts of wood. Jim did an outstanding job. He installed and fine-tuned the clockworks perfectly, a tricky business indeed!

Like best: We have a glider rocker that has been broken for several years. I periodically looked on-line for a potential place to have it repaired. I recently found Jim's website and sent a request for an estimate. He responded immediately with a very reasonable estimate! One week later, I have my glider back, repaired, and cleaned like new! Jim did a great job...very professional and efficient. I highly recommend giving him a call if you have furniture in need of repair.

Anything to add: Jim and his team were great to work with. I had bought a very large credenza I wanted refinished white. Little did I know, before buying, that it was extremely heavy. Jim and his crew figured out how to get this piece in his trailer. He even put casters on it to make it easy to move in the future! The credenza looks amazing and exactly how I pictured! I will use him for all refurbishing needs going forward!

Like best: Jim did an absolutely outstanding job on two pieces of furniture we needed to have repaired. The first was a large oak secretary desk that had some pretty severe cracks in one of the doors. Jim's repairs completely addressed the problem. The second was a Mid-Century mahogany buffet that suffered some extensive water damage to the bottom and one of the sides. Again, Jim's repairs made it look even better than it did before the damage.
